Captured ship: Angel Michael of Stockholm (master Ephraim Ferrier or Furger).
History: a Swedish merchant ship (70 lasts, 2 small guns, men), bound from Newcastle upon Tyne to Leith, laden with lead, shot, cards, glass; taken on 31 May 1694 by a French privateer, who took off lead, a 'scriptore', a bale of cards, a pack of white paper, 2 small guns, etc and left her, retaken on 2 June by another French privateer, who took off her three case of drawers, a prickle of empty bottles and some of the crew, and passed her on to another French privateer, who took off more bottles, and was lastly retaken on 3 June by HMS Rupert (Thomas Kercher commanding), and brought into the Downs.
