Description

Captured ship: Angel Gabriel of Riga (master Adrian Petersen Meyer).

History: a Swedish merchant ship (300 tons), bound from Riga to La Rochelle, laden with clapboards, pipestaves; taken on 30 June 1694 off Beachy Head by HMS Garland (Thomas Robinson commanding), and brought into the Downs.
