The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Development Agency, known as Yorkshire Forward, was created in April 1999 with the aim of revitalising the region's economy. The organisation combined the work of the Yorkshire and Humberside Development Agency, English Partnerships, Regional Supply Network, the Government Office for Yorkshire and Humber, and the Rural Development Commission.
