Description

Captured ship: Anna Maria, or Anne and Mary of Stockholm (master Lorens Andersen).

History: a Swedish merchant ship (180 tons), bound from London to St Martin, in ballast; taken on 1/11 January 1692/3, in the Downs by the privateers Successe (Thomas Powell commanding) and Edward Sloop (Benjamin Stent commanding), and brought into Dover.

Court Papers:-

  • [CP 1a-CP 2]: standing interrogatories, 3 examinations, commissioners' affidavit;
  • [CP 3]: claim of the owners;
  • [CP 4]: list of charges;
  • [CP 5]: depositions and copies of exhibitis taken at Karlskrona.
