Appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Princessa (master Don Pablo Augustin de Aguirre).
History: a Spanish warship (over 1000 tons, 654 men); taken on 28 March / 8 April 1740 between Ushant and Cape Finisterre by HMS Lenox, HMS Kent and HMS Oxford, and brought into Portsmouth.
Documents: manuscript appeal papers for a joint capture, including examinations, releases and many other papers.
