Folios 222-223: Michael Quin, 15 Alford Street, Saint Mary Stratford, Bow. Asks for employment and provides details of previous service.
Folio 224: enclosure with folios 222-223. Order dated 16 April 1831 by G. H. L. Dundas and G. Barrington, to Commander Michael Quin. To take acting command of HMS Windsor Castle in place of Honourable Duncan Pleydall Bouverie.
Folio 225: enclosure with folios 222-223. Copy of a letter dated 28 July 1830 from the French Rear Admiral Comt De La Bretonniere informing Quin that the French Government had recommended him through Lord Staurt de Rathsay to the First Lord of the Admiralty.
