The Community Development Foundation is an executive non-departmental public of the of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). It was originally founded in 1968 as the Young Volunteer Force Foundation; the organisation became the Community Development Foundation in 1990. Its function is to develop partnerships with public authorities, government and voluntary organisations to regenerate their communities.
