Folio 40: Report of proceedings for 2-7 May 1916 of H.M. submarine G2, Lieutenant Commander Reginald Burnard Darke; H.M. submarine G1, Lieutenant Commander Brownlow Villiers Layard; H.M. submarine G4, Lieutenant Commander John Fenwick Hutchings; H.M. submarine G5, Lieutenant Commander Fitzroy Hamilton Dalrymple Byron. G1 proceeded to position inside Horn Reef LV and G2, G4 and G5 in a line outside. Sighted friendly light forces, fishing vessels, Zeppelins and an enemy submarine. G5 and G4 collided underwater with damage to G5¡¯s periscope.

Observed neutral ships but no enemy destroyers or submarines. Proceeded towards Swedish coast and off Christiansund then westward off Norwegian coast to the Naze and Lister.

Folio 61: Report of proceedings for 6-13 July 1916 of H.M. submarine D8, Lieutenant in command, Geoffrey Robert Sladen Watkins. Proceeded to Bohns Bay and patrolled southward towards Hallo Light. Chased German steamer Aunilicke into territorial water. Sighted enemy submarine.
Folio 62: Report of proceedings for 6-13 July 1916 of H.M. submarine G6, Lieutenant Commander Claude Congreve Dobson. G6 proceeded to Swedish coast. Sighted German destroyer S.176 type.
Folio 63: Covering letter dated 18 August 1916 by Commander Stanley Lyte Willis, HMS Titania, regarding the copies of H.M. submarines E43 and G2, reports of operations forwarded to the Commander-in-Chief, Grand Fleet.
Folios 64-65: Report of proceedings for 9-17 August 1916 of H.M. submarine E43, Lieutenant Commander Vincent Morse Cooper. E43 rounded the Skaw and proceeded down Lasso Channel. Examined a number of ships. Off Anholt LV attacked by German auxiliary.
Folios 66-67: Report of proceedings for 9-17 August 1916 of H.M. submarine G2, Lieutenant Commander Reginald Burnard Darke. G2 proceeded to Vinga Light and down the Swedish coast, Proceeded to Halmstad Bay and towards Nidingen Light. Steamers keeping inside territorial waters.
Folio 68: Covering letter dated 7 November 1916 by Captain (S) Stanley Lyte Willis, HMS Titania, regarding the copy of a report of attack on an enemy battle squadron by H.M. submarine J1, forwarded to the Commander-in-Chief, Grand Fleet.
Folios 69-70: Report of an attack on a squadron of enemy battleships on Sunday 5 November 1916 by H.M submarine J1, Commander Noel Frank Laurence. Sighted four Kaiser class battleships. Fired four torpedoes and hit third and fourth battleships each with one torpedo. Cdr. N.F. Laurence carried out a successful attack under adverse circumstances. J. A. Graham, Gunner (T), has always discharged his duties. Rough diagram of positions of battleships and J1 at sighting and firing torpedoes, (folio 70).
Folio 71: Extracts from the report of H.M. submarine G5, Lieutenant Commander Fitzroy Hamilton Dalrymple Byron, patrolling between Naze and Christiansund, 23 to 27 January 1917.
Folio 71A: Telegram from C-in-C Home Fleets to Captain (S) Tees and Blyth, No.558, 27 January 1917. Establish submarine patrols by centre line within a parallel line 40 miles north, five equal areas 30 miles long referred to as A, C, E, G & K from west to east. Similarly to south, areas B, D, F, H & L. Submarines will patrol in lettered areas. Object to attack enemy submarines and protect mercantile traffic.
