Folios 143-144. Whitehall. Newsletter to Ambassador Williamson. The Czar, who is leaving for Holland, has granted Lord Carmarthan licence to import tobacco into Muscovy. House of Lords' consideration of the bill to give extra time to certain people to comply with the Test Act. Names mentioned are Sir Stephen Evans, Mr Foot Onslow, Mr [Francis] Parry and Sir John Foche. In the House of Commons the bill for a duty on coals was read a first time and a vote taken as to whether it should be read again the yeas being 112 and the noes 95. Resolution to deal with public business every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday after 10 o'clock 'and nothing to interfere'.
