Letter from Sir Miles Cooke to Sir Joseph Williamson at The Hague covering the re-committal of Charles Duncombe to the Tower; the bill of 3s in the pound 'which by measure is within two yards as long as Salisbury Spire'; Mr Robert Bertie who 'was in a noose about a brief with some reflections on my Lord Chancellor, which the Lords seemed resolved to resent'; the likelihood of 'a very great debate' on the bill prohibiting the export of woollen cloth or wool from Ireland into foreign parts that will be 'of great consequence to Ireland'; the failing health of the Spanish king 'whose death may make a hurricane in Christendom'; and the slow movement of the Committee of Ways and Means.
