Folios 46-47. Affidavit of Tabor Hoskins, peruke maker in Aldermanbury [City of London], before John Ellis. That Thomas Evans as a former cabinet maker served aboard the 'Cloudsley' galley bound for Turkey as a joiner and several times Hoskins 'made interest for Evans to serve as a reformade' on board some of the King's ships. Evans was generally reputed to be a man well affected to the present government.
