A letter from Ja [James] Vernon to Mr [Richard] Hill, dated at Whitehall [Middlesex] concerning: Vernon's resolution, as stated to the Comte de [Count] d'Aversberg, to submit the Irish [Roman Catholic] priest to justice, regardless of the Spanish ambassador's opinion; the appointment of the Earl of Bridgewater as first Commissioner of the Admiralty, and of Lord Haversham to the Commission; Hill's impending journey to Turin [Savoy, Italy] for 'diversion'; and King [William's] journey to Holland and Hill's anticipated meeting with him in The Hague [Netherlands].
