An unsigned newsletter, dated at Whitehall, reporting: the arrival of the Countess of Jersey, with the Duchess de la Force, who has suffered as a Protestant; the swearing-in of Earl of Pembrooke [Pembroke] as President of the Privy council, Lord Lonsdale as Privy Seal, Mr Stanyan as Clerk in Ordinary, and [Edward] Southwell as Clerk of the Council in Ordinary, the latter in the room of Mr [William] Bridgeman. Also mentions the pending prorogation of the Irish parliament.
