Folios 247-248. A manuscript endorsed 'The Journal of the House of Lords', listing bills, acts and other measures: 10 May [1698]: against counterfeiting and clipping coin, building workhouses, the sale of houses in Hackney [Middlesex], duties on leather, and duties on coals and culines; and a message concerning impeachment of John Goudet, David Barean, Pet [Peter] Longueville, Stephen Seignoret, Reno [?Renaud] Bawdewen; Nicholas Santini, and Peter ?Dehewise. 11 May [1698]: duties on coal; oath and declaration of L [Lord] Cornwallis; precedents for impeachments; selling messages in Southwark [Surrey]; naturalising the children of natural born subjects of soldiers born during the wars; Colchester [Essex] workhouse; impeachment of John Pearce; for selling three messages in Coalman [Coleman] Street, London, from the estate of Jos [Joseph] Smith; increasing timber in the New Forest; improving trade to Russia. 12 May [1698]: restraining malt-making; a suit between Mr Lucy and the Bishop of St Davids [?Thomas Watson]; a writ of errors between Richards and Cornforth; and duties on coals. 13 May [1698]: duties on coal, coffee, tea, chocolate; restraining malt-making; debt due on the 'reduction of Ireland'; a workhouse in Kingston upon Hull [Yorkshire]; preventing clipping; precedents for impeachment. 14 May [1698]: petition of the Russian Company; clipping coin; lottery; assizes and session juries; and Mr [?John] Knight for falsely endorsing Exchequer bills. 16 May [1698]: estate of Sir Jo [Joseph] Churchill; the manor of Alveston, Gloucestershire; Kingston upon Hull [Yorkshire]; Mr [?Bartholomew] Burton, Mr [?John] Knight and Mr [?Charles] Duncomb, for falsely endorsing Exchequer bills; and more on the suit between Mr Lucy and the Bishop of St Davids [?Thomas Watson].
