Description

Folios 236-237. A newsletter from RY [Robert Yard] to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall. Mentions parliamentary bills: allowing soldiers to exercise their trade; imposing duty on paper; the coining of copper halfpennies and farthings; suppressing lotteries; against housebreaking; encouraging trade with Newfoundland; laying duty on rock-salt; forfeited [Jacobite] estates; and laying duty on sweets. Also mentions complaints against Mr Gwynn, agent for the pacquet boats from Falmouth [Cornwall] to Spain.
