Description

Folios 184-185. A legal 'opinion of the judges about foreign ships at our ports', received 2 March 1699. [Arises in connection with three French ships, which sought shelter from storms in Plymouth, Devon, and the status of their cargo of wool, suspected of being English]. Signed by J Holt, Geo [George] Treby, Edward ward, Tho [Thomas] Trevor, Ri [Richard] Raines, Jo [John] Hawles, with a [?dissenting] opinion from C [Charles] Hedges.
