Description

Folios 179-180. Unsigned newsletter to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall, mentioning: the petition of Mr [William] Hucks against the election of Simon Harcourt for the Ailesbury [Aylesbury] constituency; an account of fortifications at Plymouth [Devon], Portsmouth [Hampshire] and Chattham [Chatham, Kent]; supply, and £800,000 for disbanding the army; arrears in Lord Galway's Regiment of Horse, General La Meloniere's, Lord Lafford, and Brigadier ?Beltastellr's regiments of Foot now in Ireland; a bill against disinheriting Protestant heirs [of Catholics]; a petition of the old East India Company, to continue for 21 years, exempt from the 5% payable on the new company; a bill, sent to committee, to retrain the number of officers [of the revenue]; and a resolution to discuss the navy in committee.
