A newsletter from R [Robert] Yard to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall, mentioning: Mr Cowper's report on supply in the navy, giving results for House [of Commons] votes; members of parliament receiving the King's revenues; the expulsion from the house of Mr Woollaston [Richard Wollaston], a debate concerning Sir Joseph Hernes, Sir William Scawen and Sir William Ashurt, who are also concerned in braches of the Revenue, and a bill restraining the number of officers sitting in the house and limiting them to offices including commissioners of the Treasury, Admiralty, Excise, Customs, and the Flag offices; orders given to ready Monsieur Auverquerk's troops of guard and Lord Portland's regiment for embarkation to Holland; the Dutch regiments of foot; Major General Stewart's instructions to disband regiments in Ireland; a meeting between the French ambassador and commissioners of trade with the Lord Privy seal, Lord Portland, the Earl of Tankerville; Earl of Bridgewater and Mr Secretary [James] Vernon; a Russian bill; accounts for the four regiments at New York be laid before the House; a bill naturalizing Major William Lowet and others; a presentation of an address to His Majesty [King William III]; and Yard's own ill-health.
