A letter from Ja [James] Vernon to Mr [?Richard] Hill, mentioning [Ambassador] Joseph Williamson, dated at Whitehall, concerning treaty negotiations involving Sweden and Denmark, and progress made at The Hague [Netherlands], and mentioning: Monsieur Leyonerona, Monsieur Lilierode, the Duke of Holstein and the 'Holstein Affair', the Guarands [Guarants], the Pensioner [the Grand Pensionary, Anthonie Heinsius]. Also reports on: ships seized with wool, a letter from the 'states' [Estates General of Holland, Netherlands], and legal process; customs dispute related to six pieces of Dutch silk, of Indian origin; and the House of Lords first reading of the Disbanding Bill.
