Folios 95-96. A letter from R [Robert] Yard to Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall. Advises of: the departure, from Portsmouth [Hampshire] of William Norris as ambassador to the Mogul [Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad, alias Aurangzeb], with Captain Warren's anti-pirate squadron; the death of customs commissioner Sir John Austen; second reading of the bill for encouraging woollen manufacture; reading of the King's speech; 'yesterday the House of Lords met but did nothing material', and today met 'for naturalizing a private person'; supply; disbanding of the army; bill banning corn exports; and a committee meeting on the state of the navy, mentioning wages, and Mr Boyle.
