Description

Folios 80-81. A newsletter from [Robert] Yard to Joseph Williamson dated at Whitehall. Mentions: King [William III's] return from Windsor [Berkshire] to Kensington [Middlesex]; the impending departure of Sir William Norris as ambassador to the Mogul [Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad, alias Aurangzeb] from Portsmouth [Hampshire] with an anti-pirate squadron; meeting of the House of Commons, papers presented on the state of the navy by Sir Robert Rich, a bill to prohibit the export of corn, and a possible new election in Wickham [Chipping Wycombe, Buckinghamshire] were the quaker Mr Arsdale won't take the oath; and the Lords meeting with the King, thanks for his Gracious Speech, and the White Staffs.
