Letter from J [John] Ellis to Ambassador Williamson reporting: the committal of Andrew Huddleston, Receiver of Westmorland, and his son to the Gatehouse in connection with the false endorsements of Exchequer bills; the intended departure of Mr [George] Stepney and the return of Lord Lexington; the Earl of Aylesbury's going to Flanders having been refused licence to remain in England; that five regiments of foot and two of horse are to be sent 'forthwith' to Ireland and as many there to be disbanded.
