Description

Folios 99-100. An account of the proceedings in the House of Commons mentioning the verbal altercation between [John] Smith [Member for Andover] and the Speaker when the former, after the House had risen, told the latter that if he treated him no better he would pull him by the nose; the discussion in the Committee of Ways and Means regarding the deficiencies and disbandment of the forces. The following day the House sat until eight o' clock on the examination of the Exchequer bills paid in by Mr Duncomb into Mr Palmes' office.
