Description

This series contains files regarding liquor licensing, following on from the transfer of policy responsibility in this area from the Home Office. These records largely concern the preparation of legislation and policy regarding the impact of alcohol on hooliganism and other anti-social behaviours.

Arrangement

The papers in this series are arranged in numerical order by departmental file number, the sequence repeating for successive transfers. The inclusion of a date preceding a file number (as in LIQ (1999) 5/3/12) indicates the year in which the file was created.
