Administrative / biographical background

The Legal Services Consultative Panel was established in 2000 under the Access to Justice Act 1999. It is an advisory non-departmental public body of the Ministry of Justice. The Panel assists in the maintenance and development of standards in the education, training and conduct of persons offering legal services and advises the Minister of Justice on the regulation of the legal sector.
