Name: R Pearce.
Occupation: Pitwood worker.
Place of accident: On board S/S "Raglan", Glamorgan.
Injury: Thumb badly bruised.
Details of accident: Discharging pitwood from this steamer and as he was hooking a sling he gave a signal to raise the wood. As this was being lifted Pearce's left hand was caught between the wood and the sling chain.
