Folios 137-138. [Jacobite] Belcarres [Colin Lindsay, Earl of Balcarres] writing from Rotterdam to [?Sir], hoping that the King will allow all his subjects, that are desirous, as he is, to live in quiet, at liberty, to return and live in peace. Requesting [?Sir] to allow him to make his application to his Majesty. He first wrote to the Earl of Selkirk but he has had no return from him. He is friends with Mr Odyke, and other people who know the King, but he is resolved neither to see nor write to any of them, until [?Vernon or Williamson] will answer his letter.
