Folio 134. Ja [James] Vernon reporting to Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson [Nine Years' War]. They have very little news stirring, with people's thoughts turned towards expecting his Majesty, and making preparations for his reception. The Duke of Shrewsbury was with the Lords Justices yesterday; Captain Norris has come into the Downs with the Newfoundland squadron. Parson Salisbury was executed on Wednesday last with his two accomplices [Cooke and Horton].
