Folios 83-84. Newsletter from Ireland. The House of Commons agreed to the resolution of the Committee that £2000 should be raised for the use of the family of Dr [George] Walker in consideration of his services [during the siege of Londonderry]. The House thanks Captain Thomas Prendergast, and will think of a present to give to him, as he discovered an horrid and detestable conspiracy against His Majesty. The Lord Justices gave the royal assent to 11 private bills and three public bills, including an act for banishing all 'papists' exercising any ecclesiastic jurisdiction and all regulars of the popish clergy; an act for the confirmation of the articles made at the surrender of Limerick; and an act to prevent Protestants intermarrying to 'Papists'.
