Folios 75-76. Newsletter addressed to Sir Joseph Williamson [Nine Years' War]. Messenger Mr Young arrived with the treaty of peace. The Earl of Manchester [Charles Montagu] took his leave of the Lords Justices and intends to embark on the Mary yacht, which is appointed to carry him over to Holland. Letters from Dublin say that a vessel arrived in Ireland from Newfoundland and left a few days later. She reports that a French squadron of fifteen men of war commanded by Mr Nesmond appeared before St John's harbour [Newfoundland], where lay twelve English men of war under the command of Captain [John] Norris. A Committee is currently considering the bill for confirming the articles of Limerick.
