The Gambling Appeals Tribunal was established in 2005 under the Gambling Act 2005, to hear appeals against the decisions of the Gambling Commission regarding operating licences for companies, as well as personal functional and personal management licences to people in key management positions. In January 2010 the tribunal became the First?tier Tribunal (Gambling).
