Reports on: bills in the parliament of Ireland, where an 'inclination to the king' is remarked upon; the arrival in Bristol [Gloucestershire] of vessels from Montserrat and Barbados; Admiral [John] Nevill seeking [the French Admiral] Pointys [Baron de Pointis] in Porto Bello [Panama], where there is plague; the storm-struck Virginia fleet which has been joined by ships from Barbados, and the arrival in Plymouth [Devon] of the St Albans Prize under Captain Hubart, mentioning the Greenwich, Loyal Merchant, Prince of Orange, and Hawke fireship; a sighting of a Dutch fleet from the Straits [of Gibraltar] sighted at the Goodwin Sands; and Sir George Rooke's arrival at Spithead [Hampshire] with his [naval] fleet.
