Reports that: 'money matters do mend very little', and markets are linked to expectations of peace; insurance rates on galleons at 50%; Lord Chancellor [John Somers'] slow recovery; Sir Francis Pemberton's death, caused by a cold contracted in Westminster Hall [Middlesex], hearing Earl of Bath versus the Earl of Montagu; Earl of Pembroke's delivery of the Privy Seal to the commissioners; Mr [Matthew] Prior's commission enclosed [not filed here]; and the continued absence of Mr Secretary [the Duke of Shrewsbury] in Berkshire.
