Folios 79-80. A letter from Ja [James] Vernon to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson. Comments on Williamson having 'got into the lists'; and the Nimegen [Nijmegen] Peace. Reports that [Treasury teller William] Palmes has been unable to make up public money [which he diverted to private use, and is now needed]; a victory of Lord Bath in the trial against Lord Montagu, and the possibility of Bath bring a charge of scandulum magnatum against Mr Sloen [?James Sloane MP]; the Princess [Anne of Denmark] visit to Tunbridge [Kent] abandoned, raising questions whether she is 'breeding' [pregnant].
