Reports on: Sir George Rook [Rooke] having sailed with the great ships from 'the Nore' [Thames Estuary] to the Downes; the embarkation of five regiments to Flanders; the planned encampment of regiments near town [London] at Black heath [Blackheath, Kent]; the arrival in Chester [Cheshire] of the Lords Justices and the Lord Chancellor of Ireland [John Methuen], their meeting with the Bishop, Mayor and aldermen, and their intended journey to Ireland, via Holyhead [Anglesey], on the Penzance frigate and the Loessdyke yacht; Colonel Cornwall 'by some accident' shooting his man dead.
