Folios 67-68. A newsletter from RY [Robert Yard] to Sir Jo [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall [Middlesex]. Reports on: the embarkation of five regiments for Flanders; the departure of Sir George Rook [Rooke], with ten ships, from 'the Nore' [Thames Estuary] to the Downes, where Admiral [Matthew] Aylmer awaits; Admiral Michael at Spithead [Hampshire]; HMS Neptune, Vanguard, and Albemarle return to Sheerness [Kent], with their crew making up the complement on Rook's ships; despatch of bomb vessels too expensive; increased valuation of Exchequer notes; improved health of the Duke of Shrewsbury; excommunication of Lady Macclesfield at Doctor's Common, and impending trial.
