Name: Evan Matthews.
Occupation: Coaler.
Place of accident: Coal Stage Senghenydd, Glamorgan.
Injury: Bruised and burst flesh on second finger of right hand.
Details of accident: A piece of coal fell on Matthew's head when he was tipping a coal bucket into the bunker of an engine, causing the injuries described. He completed his day's work but did not again resume until 7 July.
