Page: 87.
Name: William Jones.
Occupation: Platelayer.
Place of accident: Bargoed, Glamorgan.
Injury: Fatal.
Details of accident: Jones, after finishing his day's work, appears to have come to the Main Lane of the Railway from behind a Signal Cabin with the object of taking a short cut to his home and was knocked down and run over by a van which was being propelled by an Engine through a crossing to the Goods Shed for shunting purposes. There was a high wind which seems to have prevented Jones from hearing the approach of the Engine and Van.
