Injury: Right hand crushed and head and right leg cut.
Details of accident: A train of empty wagons was being pushed from the train line into the Colliery Sidings, the Guard walking in advance to turn a pair of points. Lee had been sheltering in his Platerlayer's Cabin alongside the line and without looking to see whether a train was approaching slipped into the four foot to oil a pair of points and was immediately knocked down receiving the injuries described.
