Place of accident: Merthyr, Glamorgan.
Injury: Hand cut at base of thumb.
Details of accident: Meyrick used his knife to clear out the waste water cock and placed it open on the ledge of the eye glass of his Engine. Afterwards when clearing the pointwork on the cab he ran his hand on the blade of the knife sustaining the injuries described.
