Pages 70-71. Order for the Lord Treasurer to issue an Exchequer commission to investigate the claim by Hugh Lewis, the King's searcher for the port of Bristol [Somerset], that the mayor and other chief merchants there, who own hides and candles that Lewis has seized as they were to be illegally shipped abroad, have entered a malicious information against him. Findings to be returned to the Exchequer where 'the delinquents are to be proceeded against according to justice'.
