Letter from Tho [Thomas] Nicolson in the house of Mr King, messenger, that a John Hambleton has threatened accuse him 'as a man of intrigues against the government and a spy' unless Nicolson sends him money. Nicolson asks that if Hambleton offers evidence against him, he will be informed and heard in his defence.
