Description

Folios 228-229. Extract of a news-letter mentioning the expected attack on Dunkirk by Dutch and English forces; the taking by an English pirate [Henry Every 'Long Ben Avery'] in September 1695 of a ship belonging to the Indians, which was going with divers pilgrim passengers and a great deal of riches to Mecca' that has led to the Great Migul [Mughal] to imprison the inhabitants of the English factories and seize their goods although there are doubts as to the veracity of this; and the trial of the Pyx.
