Folio 190. The Case of Jasper Roth, merchant, praying that he be granted his liberty from the messenger's custody upon giving security so that he can pursue his business. Roth's arrest was on account of James Bryan, his agent in Ireland, who is now on bail there. The case relates to unopened letters enclosed in correspondence from Michael Roth to Jasper Roth and forwarded by Roth to Bryan. Other names mentioned are Robert Grace, Mr Bourk, Sir Daniel Arthur and Sir Thomas Lane.
