The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) was established in 1996 following the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 1995. Its role is to adminisiter the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme. The CICA is an executive non-departmental public body of the Ministry of Justice.
