Description

Captured ship: Amitie (master Robert Henry Heuzey).

History: a French fishing vessel (80 tons, 16 men), bound from the banks of Newfoundland to St Malo, laden with salted bankfish (cod); taken on 25 November / 5 December 1694, in latitude 48°N by the Falmouth packet Spanish Expedition (Francis Clyes commanding), and brought into Corunna.
