Folio 161. Letter from Hu [?Hugh] Macky to Alexander Cameron, younger, of Cuchenna care of Andrew Crosbey at Inverlochy. ' Mr Cameron, you'll oblige me very much upon receipt of this to make the best of your way towards Inverness for God willing against the first of June all my men shall be ready here to be shipped so that the sooner you come the better therefore use all the diligence possible and you'll oblige'. In pencil ' upon my word Mr Cameron whatever I [?] to you it shall be performed and if it be for want of money that you cannot come along with me I shall leave some money at Mr [?] you know [?] go after [?] me over you [blank] of ane occasion any time'.
