Folios 87-88. Letter from Ja [James] Vernon to Mr Blathwayt asking that if the draft of the letter to the Czar is approved the King sign it. Vernon observes that 'the Czar seems resolved to prevent all applications for peace'. He also writes about the case of the merchants whose goods were seized in the Danzig ships by John de Bart [Jean Bart] in connection with which he mentions Mr [Hugh] Greg [Chargé d'Affaires] at Copenhagen, Mr [Alexander] Stanhope and Lord Manchester [Charles Montagu].
