Reports on: the absence of the Lord Chancellor [Lord Somers] and the Lord Steward [the Duke of Devonshire] in the country, and the consequent need for a 'deposition to swear [in] the members of the House of Commons'; the peculiarity of plans to 'prorogue' parliament; concern over the pregnancy of the Princess [?Anne]; advises that [George] the Prince [of Denmark] is in Windsor [Berkshire], and has gout; and the arrival of a troop of Dutch troops with grey horses.
