Description

Folios 179-180. A letter from J [John] Ellis to Lord Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex]. Reports on: An election at Rochester [Kent], and [at Westminster, London, Middlesex in which] Sir Hen [Henry] Colt continues the poll against Mr Montagu and Secretary [James] Vernon. Also mentions: a Lord Justices meeting; the amalgamation of the two marine and three other regiments.
